2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that may be stored on or read from your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage objects, pixels, tags, scripts and device identifiers.
These technologies may be required to provide a website technically, enable bookings, save settings, prevent misuse or—after consent—provide usage statistics or external content.
3. Legal basis and consent
Strictly necessary cookies may be used where their sole purpose is to transmit a communication or provide a service expressly requested by you.
All other cookies and comparable technologies are generally activated only after prior consent. Consent must be freely given, informed and revocable. Rejecting non-essential cookies must be as easy as accepting them.
Any subsequent processing of personal data is also governed by the GDPR and the legal bases described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Categories used
| Category | Purpose | Legal basis | Activation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Navigation, language, security, session management, booking process and storage of cookie choices. | Technical necessity; where personal data is processed, contract, pre-contractual steps or legitimate interests. | Without prior consent only where strictly necessary. |
| Functional | Additional convenience functions not essential to the service expressly requested. | Consent. | Only after consent. |
| Analytics | Measuring use, reach and technical performance. | Generally consent; a narrowly defined exemption is possible only under the CNIL conditions. | Only after consent unless a demonstrable exemption applies. |
| Marketing | User profiles, personalised advertising or cross-campaign measurement. | Consent. | Only after consent. |
| External media | Embedding external content or services that may transfer data to third parties. | Consent unless exceptionally strictly necessary. | Only after consent. |
5. Lodgify
The website and direct booking system are provided through Lodgify. Lodgify may use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies, particularly for sessions, navigation, language, security, booking functions and saving preferences.
Where Lodgify activates analytics, marketing or other non-essential technologies, these may only be used after the required consent.
Provider: Codebay Solutions Limited, Magma House, 16 Davy Court Way, Castle Mound Way, Rugby, Warwickshire, CV23 0UZ, United Kingdom.
6. Google reCAPTCHA
Forms may be protected by Google reCAPTCHA against spam, misuse and automated access. Cookies, device information, IP address, browser data and interactions with the website may be processed.
Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Processing by Google companies outside the European Economic Area cannot be ruled out.
Where reCAPTCHA is not strictly necessary for the relevant process, it may only be loaded after consent. Its precise legal classification depends on the actual technical implementation.
7. Current cookie list
The cookies actually used on your device, their providers, purposes and retention periods must be shown in the cookie banner or its detailed settings. This technical list is authoritative because Lodgify and integrated providers may change cookie names and durations.
8. Retention periods
The retention period depends on the individual cookie. Session cookies are generally deleted when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies remain until their stated expiry date or until manually deleted.
The exact duration of each current cookie must be shown in the detailed cookie settings.
9. Choice, rejection and withdrawal
On your first visit, the cookie banner should allow you to choose at least between “Accept all”, “Reject” and individual settings. Non-essential cookies must not be activated before your choice.
You may change or withdraw consent at any time with future effect through the “Cookie settings” link. This link should remain permanently accessible in the website footer.
You may also delete or block cookies in your browser. This may limit certain functions, particularly the booking process.
10. Recipients and international transfers
Depending on your choice, data may be disclosed to Lodgify, Google or other service providers listed in the cookie banner. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area.
Such transfers take place only under the applicable data protection requirements, for example on the basis of an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards.
11. Changes
This Cookie Policy will be updated if the website, the services used or the legal requirements change. The version published at the relevant time applies.
